Account & data deletion

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Kutumbam account and the data linked to it at any time. Here is how.

Option 1: Inside the app

  • Sign in to Kutumbam and open Settings.
  • Tap Delete account.
  • If you own a family that has other members, choose one of them as the new owner first.
  • Confirm by typing DELETE. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2: By email

Email justmallikarjuna@gmail.com from the email address registered with your Kutumbam account, with the subject “Delete my Kutumbam account”. We may ask you to confirm the request to protect your account.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (name, email, phone and preferences)
  • Chat messages you sent
  • Photos and videos you uploaded to Memories
  • Your family membership — you are removed from every family
  • Families where you are the only member, along with their content

If you own a family

  • If the family has other members, you must transfer ownership to another member before your account can be deleted. The family continues for everyone else.
  • If you are the only member, the family is deleted together with your account.
  • Other members' profiles, messages, photos and data are never deleted.

Timeline

Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. Limited payment records may be retained where required by law (for example tax and accounting rules), and are not used for any other purpose.
